FAQ

Q. Do you have playlists for your books?

A. In another life, I’m positive I was a groupie. You can find playlists for every single one of my books here. I always listen to music while writing, and the songs included in each playlist I probably put on repeat a few thousand times. My biggest claim to fame is the fact I’m in the top 3% of Spotify listeners in all of Canada. Yeah. It’s fantastic.

Q. Where should I start with your books?

A. Check out the reading order.

The Vengeful Duet (Let Me, Break Me) is a good option because it is completed.

After that, go with Ecstasy. Then you can decide which way to go. If you’re into cult vibes and very dark romance, start my Unsainted series with These Monstrous Ties. HOWEVER, if you read all of the Unsainted series first, you’ll catch small references dropped in other books. Here is my recommended reading order of all my books (only in books currently published; not upcoming releases):

  1. Let Me

  2. Break Me

  3. Ecstasy

  4. These Monstrous Ties OR Ominous Book One (then whichever you didn’t read)

  5. Pray for Scars OR Ominous Book Two OR Verglas

  6. The Cruelest Chaos

  7. Boy of Ruin

  8. Like Grim Death: Part One

  9. Like Grim Death: Part Two

  10. Order of Rain

  11. Unorthodox

Q. Where can I order signed books?

A. I only open the signed book form a few times a year, since I send out all books myself and have to balance this with actually writing books. I’ll announce openings on Instagram and in my reader’s group (Order of KV), as well as through email.

Q. When is “X” book coming?

A. All updates are here. If it isn’t listed, I don’t have a release date (or year) for it, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t coming. The sequel to Unorthodox (titled “Unrepentant”) is definitely coming.

Q. Do you have moodboards for your books?

A. Yes. All public mood boards are here. Some are kept locked while I work on a project; some are not.

Q. Upcoming signings?

A. Signings are posted here.

Q. Do you have advice for writers?

A. I feel very ill-equipped to answer this question, but I get asked it a lot. Answer coming eventually.

Q. Do you plan to write a book for “X” character?

A. Probably so.

Q. Does sinister take place in an alternate universe?

A. No. Sinister is “real”, and takes place after the events of Ecstasy. It will all make sense when you read it, I promise, and it will have the four main characters from both Ominous and Ecstasy, plus some minor characters.

Ominous, both books, takes place prior to Ecstasy, but I did not write them in that order and I recommend you read Ecstasy first for a few reasons, although it’ll work out fine whichever way you do it. Whatever you do, please read Sinister last.

Ominous is Eli and Eden in high school, Ecstasy is Eli (and Zara and Alex) in college.
